Booking Policy

We take online bookings for appointments. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. Once the booking is made, you will receive a confirmation email which will include:

  • Appointment type

  • Date and time of appointment

  • Clinic location

  • A link to view or change your appointment

  • Our cancellation policy

Please ensure you enter your contact details accurately to receive email and SMS notifications. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact reception@sydneyfacedoctor.com.au

It is your responsibility to remember your appointment and arrive on time. As a courtesy, two reminders are sent: an email reminder one week before your appointment, and an SMS reminder 24 hours before your appointment. You can reply to the email reminder or text back if you need to contact us.

Please do not bring babies or pets. Children who are able to be unsupervised are welcome to sit in our waiting room.

By booking an appointment, you agree to these terms and consent to receiving communication from us.

Cancellation Policy

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. Any cancellations made after booking will incur a 5% charge. Changes can be made up to 72 hours (3 days) prior to your appointment using the link in your confirmation email. Appointments cannot be rescheduled via email or social media. To ensure a smooth experience for all patients, we ask that you arrive to your appointment on time.

All appointments are given a time allocation. If you arrive late, your consultation or treatment time will be shortened. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we may not be able to accommodate you, resulting in forfeiture of the deposit. Deposits are forfeited for late cancellations (within 72 hours) and no shows.

By completing your online booking, you agree to the above terms & conditions.

Initial Consultation

New patients are required to book an Initial Consultation. The consultation fee is required at the time of booking and is non-refundable. An intake form will be sent to you before your first appointment. Please complete the form before your appointment.

The consultation fee does not guarantee a specific outcome or service beyond the consultation. Additional fees apply for referral letters, correspondence, and other requests.

Before & After Your Appointment

THINGS TO CHECK BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Treatments may not be suitable or may require deferment if you:

  • are pregnant, trying to fall pregnant, or breastfeeding

  • have had a vaccine in the last 2 weeks

  • have had major dental work within the last 6 weeks

  • have had recent surgery (clearance is required from your surgeon)

  • have a co-morbidity (clearance is required from your treating doctor)

  • have certain allergies

Please contact reception@sydneyfacedoctor.com.au if you are unsure if it is safe for you to book in for a particular treatment.

Please come to your appointment with a bare face. Make up increases your infection risk, as well as its removal adding time to your appointment.  Make up removal will be charged a $50 fee.

If you are having a peel, laser or microneedling treatment, please avoid sun exposure and ensure you have stopped active skin care ingredients 3-4 days before your appointment to minimise skin irritation. These include but are not limited to exfoliating acids (e.g. glycolic acid, salicylic acid), vitamin C, and retinoids.

AFTER CARE

Dr Yumiko will explain after-care instructions that are specific to your treatment. General pointers include:

  • avoid make up in the treated area for 24-48 hours

  • avoid intense/head-down exercise (yoga, deadlifts), sauna, steam room, facial massage and tight headwear that may increase pressure in the face

  • avoid alcohol 24-48 hours before and after treatment to reduce risk of bruising

  • avoid sun exposure and active skin care ingredients after any skin treatments that sensitise your skin

Successful outcomes rely on both the treating doctor and patient. We reserve the right to decline appointments for patients who do not follow pre- and after-care instructions, or exhibit other behaviours that negatively affect the doctor-patient relationship. Past attendance does not guarantee that future appointment requests will be accepted.

Medical procedures carry risks and downtime. Individual results vary, and outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Depending on the treatment you received, there may be a specific timeframe for when the follow-up appointment should be scheduled.
